Welcome to the website for Yaxley Riders.

We are a social group for cyclists based around the South Peterborough area. You do not have to pay to join or even buy a jersey (although we would love that!!), you just have to enjoy cycling and being with friends.

You can find out more in the about us section from the menu on the left, and the latest news and photos will be displayed below this text.

Please take time to register for our forums and tell us what you think and what you want from the site. It doesn't matter if you aren't planning on riding with us and just want to say hi and have a chat.

Log you training miles with us and see maps of our regular rides

News Article - Social Meeting - Weds 1st Sept - 3 Horseshoes, Yaxley - Aug 27, 2010

Hi Everyone, We have decided on a day and time to meet as follows:- Wednesday 1st September - 3 Horseshoes Pub in Yaxley - aim to meet at 7.30 -8.00pm for a few hours.

Hopefully most people will be able to attend, this is everyones chance to meet the other members of the group and come up with a plan of action how best to take the group forward. I suggest that as the founder member James Warrener should head up this meeting and ensure that although it is a social gathering it also has some structure, if anyone has any particular points they want to discuss please contact James so he can include it in the proceedings jimmythecuckoo@googlemail.com .

Hope to see you all there, Steve

News Article - Bargain alert!!!! - Aug 26, 2010

As Mr Milne has pointed out on the forum, I have been wrapping up against the un-seasonally cold weather with a new bright pink Planet-X long sleeved training jersey.

With a lovely fleeced lining and grippers at the bottom of the back to stop the jersey riding up this is my new favourite cycling garment... (apart from my Yaxley Riders jersey of course).

And the good news is, I didn't need to extend my mortgage to secure it. Planet-X are currently in sale and you can get the top (in three colours, red , black or copying me in pink !) for £20 with free postage.

Just follow the link. I would recommend going a size up from your usual as they are Italian made and quite a racy fit.

News Article - Ride Review 22/08 - Aug 22, 2010

Warrener, James P   brushed off the cobwebs and a busy few weeks to get out and about on the roads this morning.

There were loads of other cyclists around on the lanes around Oundle despite the strong breeze, all enjoying the sunshine.

James was keen to get out on the standard road bike after lots of single speeding and managed to tough it out back from the Giddings despite the annoying stones that have been added to the road surface recently... Undecided
