I have lived in Yaxley for over 36 years and have been a cycling enthusiast for most of that time!

In my teens I was a keen member of Fenland Clarions, but had a long break from cycling until starting again in June 2009. I am currently a member of Peterborough Cycling club and have started doing a few Time-trials again.

I am very enthusiastic about the ‘Yaxley Riders’ concept and am enjoying riding with others from Yaxley and the surrounding area. Now that I am a family man free time is a bit scarce & the ‘YR’ group ensures I make the most of any time I can spare for cycling.

My Personal aims for 2011 are as follows:-

• To achieve a 26min time in the Peterborough CC Club Time Trials (which is 3 min+ faster than my 2010 best time
• Ride the Wiggle 'No excuses' 80 mile Grafham sportive
• Ride the the Peterborough 100 (km) Charity ride (again)
• Compete in the London Duathlon (Kingston Park) 35K Challenge version
• Compete in the Great Eastern Half Marathon and aim to beat my 1h34m time (which I set when I was 17)
• Compete in more Open Time Trial events
