York College Mean N' Green Rugby

The Fall 2008 season started with the Mean N' Green flying out of the gates to a 3-0 record (2-0 league) with impressive wins over 2007 EPRU DI Champions Millersville, PRU team Mt St Mary's, and league rival Lock Haven.  The clubs match against defending EPRU DII Champions East Stroudsburg at home was rescheduled to East Stroudsburg and all momentum was lost.  Even though York Mean N' Green RFC went on to lose its last Four games, all to 2008 EPRU playoff representatives (U Penn, East Stroudsburg (Ranked #16 in the Nation), West Chester (Ranked #2 in the Nation), and Bloomsburg (EPRU DII Quarterfinal Match) ,they still qualified for the postseason as 1 of the 6 EPRU playoff teams.  The team showed alot of promise for the upcoming seasons but in the end this young team just didn't have the experience to win games aganst the top dogs of EPRU's DII.  If this team is able to recruit some talent in its annual York College Youth Boys Invitational, the future can be as good as its past as York's Rugby Program is looking to return to the top of DII at all levels EPRU, MARFU, and the National Stage.
